The Science Behind ThermiVa Vaginal Rejuvenation
ThermiVa tightens and rejuvenates vaginal tissue through transcutaneous temperature-controlled radiofrequency (TTCRF). This advanced technology continuously monitors the internal temperature of the target tissue, maintaining the highest possible safe temperature during your appointment.
Targeted RF energy gently heats the vaginal and labial tissue, encouraging existing collagen fibers to contract and tighten. Additionally, this thermal energy stimulates the fibroblasts, or cells that produce collagen and elastin, to increase their production. These proteins provide the skin with strength and elasticity, resulting in healthier, tighter tissue.

When you arrive at your appointment, your provider guides you to a private treatment room. They will have you undress. Once you are comfortable, they slowly glide the ThermiVa handpiece over the external labia and the internal vaginal canal. Treatment should not be painful. In fact, most patients describe the sensation as a warm, gentle massage.
There is no downtime after ThermiVa treatment, and patients can return to their normal routines immediately. You may experience mild redness or swelling in the treatment area immediately after your appointment; these side effects typically subside within 1 to 2 hours. While some patients report improvement as early as 1 week after their initial appointment, optimal results develop over 12 weeks.
